Death of Mrs. Frank Allen at Milltown
Mrs. Frank Allen, of Milltown, died during Monday night at her home at the age of sixty eight years. The funeral services and interment were held at Union church, about two miles from Milltown, at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was a sister of Mr. B. J. Sirmans, and an aunt of Dr. L. C. Holtzendorff, of Valdosta, besides being widely connected in Lowndes, Lanier and Berrien county with many prominent families.
She is survived by her husband Mr. Frank Allen, but leaves no children. Mrs. Allen was a woman whose influence was felt throughout her community because of her strong Christian character, and her cheerful disposition won and held for her a large circle of warm personal friends. To all who knew Mrs. Allen her death brings a note of grief.
