Negro Hanging in Mississippi.
MERIDIAN, Miss., April 25 -- J. P. Paris, a negro, was hanged here today for the murder of John T. Stockton, a railway mail clerk, February 29 last. Death was caused by strangulation. This murder attracted much attention at the time on account of Governor Vardaman's successful efforts to prevent the lynching of Paris.
