Deaths and Funerals
SEWELL
With the employes and officials of the Central railroad shops and hundreds of other friends present to pay their last respects, the body of T. L. Sewell, the well known merchant who died Friday night, was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery yesterday morning. The service was conducted by Rev. J. M. Foster and Rev. Mr. Wardlaw, of Fort Valley, at the First Street Methodist church yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. The Central shops were closed during the funeral.
The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Wilbur F. Lawrence, Rufus Evans, Charles Smith, Jake Willis, E. L. Cox and Charles Schafer.
The honorary pallbearers were: Col. W. A. Huff, J. J. Cobb, W. H. Fetner, Will Elfe, L. C. Ricks, Theodore Ellis, Sr., W. H. Mansfield and G. S. Westcott.
