A FOUL MURDER IN FAIRBURN, GEORGIA
Henry Turner, His Young Wife and Sister Found Dead in the Fields.
NO CLUE TO THE ASSASSINS.
They Were Found Dead With Faces Down.
Blood Hounds Were Secured and Struck a Trail But it Was Feared That They Would Lose It.
Fairburn, Ga., Nov 13 -- (Special) -- A triple murder was committed near here today about 12 o'clock.
This morning Henry Turner, his young wife and sister, went into the fields to hoe potatoes. They did not return for dinner and friends becoming alarmed, started in search. They had not gotten further than a quarter of a mile from the house when they discovered the three missing ones, each face downward in furrows. Their position indicated that they had been taken by surprise and shot from the rear. There is no clue, as there are no enemies of theirs known around here.
The sheriff sent for blood hounds and after hesitancy they struck a trail, which two hours ago they were pursuing in the direction of a creek two miles away. It is feared the scent will be lost here.
