Death of Miss Sarah Baker -- Search For A Grave

WOODSTOCK, VA., Aug. 11 -- Miss Sarah Baker, of Brockett, died last night after a short illness. The cause of her death is given as heart failure. She was a daughter of Mr. Isaac Baker and was 65 years old. Her sister, Mrs. H. G. Huff, with whom she lived, is the last survivor of nine children.
Col. William Lamb, of Norfolk, has been in this vicinity for a week as a representative of Dr. Edward E. Hale, in an endeavor to locate the grave of Rev. Elisha W. Parmalee, founder of the Greek-letter fraternities of Harvard, Yale and William and Mary Colleges. He is said to have died in Shenandoah county and to have been buried at Red Banks, on the handsome estate of Mr. T. W. Allen. It is stated here that the grave will be marked by a suitable monument if it can be found.

WILLIAM A. COLE DIES IN WATERTOWN
William Asia Cole, son of the late Capt. William Cole of Boston, died at Watertown Tuesday after a brief illness at the age of 69 years and 11 months. He was educated in the Boston schools, was an extensive reader of the best literature, and an authority in statistics, history, dramatics, etc.
For the past forty-three years he had been employed at the directory publishing establishment of Sampson & Murdock Co., and his well known figure will be missed by many friends in Boston and in other cities where his occupation took him during this long period of service. His widow survives him.
